is the HinterNIC?
The HinterNIC is a resource for
information about the "global integrated computer network" (aka, the
Internet). The HinterNIC is not a registry or
an ISP. Our evolving mission it to provide links to information about the
Internet:
- Viruses
- Hoaxes
- tlds
(top level domains)
- DNS (domain name service)
- the organizations
currently enmeshed in re-structuring the administration of tlds
- the registries
that will eventually serve you
- the constituency organizations
that may represent your interests!
Over time, we will be pointing you to sites where you can
register your domain name as well as providing additional information about registration
and organizations who guide and govern the Internet.
